How this PDF merger works
Drop your PDFs, arrange them with the arrows, and press merge. Your browser copies every page from every document into one new PDF, in the order shown in the list. The files stay on your device from start to finish, which matters more for PDFs than for most files: contracts, medical records, and financial statements have no business passing through someone else's server.
The merged file contains full copies of the original pages, including their fonts, images, and vector content. Page sizes stay mixed if your sources differ, so an A4 report and a US Letter scan sit side by side unchanged.
What to check before merging
- Order. The list order is the page order. Use the arrows next to each file to rearrange before you merge.
- Passwords. A password-protected PDF fails to open, and the merge stops with an error naming the file. Remove the protection first with the tool that created it.
- Bookmarks and links. Page content transfers completely, but bookmarks, form fields, and internal links from the source documents don't carry over into the merged file. If you rely on those, merge with the software that produced the originals.

Are my documents uploaded anywhere?
No. The merge runs inside your browser using a JavaScript PDF library. You can load this page, disconnect from the internet, and merge offline.
Is there a limit on the number of files or pages?
You can add as many PDFs as you like, up to 100 MB per file. Your device's memory sets the practical ceiling. Hundreds of pages merge in a few seconds on an ordinary laptop.
Does merging reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied, not re-rendered. Text stays selectable, images keep their resolution, and vector graphics stay sharp.
Can I change the page order after merging?
Rearrange the files before merging with the arrow buttons. To reorder individual pages within a document, you'll want a dedicated organize-pages tool, which is on our roadmap.
Why does my merged file fail to open in the tool?
The most common cause is password protection. Corrupted downloads are the runner-up. The error message names the file that failed, so you can fix or drop that one and merge the rest.
How big will the merged PDF be?
Roughly the sum of the input sizes. Shared resources are not deduplicated between documents, so merging two 5 MB files gives you a file close to 10 MB.
